Oh, things just seem to be going well right now. Of course, I just jinxed myself, but, these are the facts. Finals are over, I'm working on a resume to send up to Portland, Deb Morrison is a very sweet lady and I got to fend off a drunk guy at Rennie's last night.

Yesterday:

Wore this to a resume seminar with Deb, my COLT final, to Megan's for ANTM and then finally out for drinks and scrabble. Mike took this at his apartment.

Dress: So at Kohl's
Shirt: Old Navy
Leggings: Xhilaration at Target
Shoes: Charlotte Russe

Today:

I'm really feeling the polo today. I'm not really sure why. Also, I've been very blinky recently.

Everything but the black sweater: Old Navy
Black Sweater: Forever 21

I haven't worn makeup for the last couple of days. Yesterday, it was because I was in too much of a hurry when I was leaving. Today, it's because I don't want to. I'm feeling very natural today.

AND NOW, the inaugural edition of the segment "Rock it or Mock it?"

Whilst Megan, Mike, Nat and I were at Rennie's playing scrabble last night, we encountered this man:

We thought "hm, what an interesting choice to wear in public while not at a costume party." I couldn't get any pictures with ALL of this tiny top hat, but here are a few more for reference.

My question to you is: would you rock it or mock it?

So, you may be asking yourself "why didn't mini post the undoubtedly fabulous outfit she wore for St. Patrick's day?" I will tell you: I didn't go out. I know, I know. I'm in college...a holiday about getting drunk should be like...a high holy holiday. But it's finals week and though I don't have a final until tomorrow, my friends are all studying their asses off and couldn't go out last night. Not wanting to be that girl who is all alone and reeks of 151 so badly you thought there was a bum in the bar, I stayed in. Mike and I had linner (the 7:00 meal that is only the 2nd of 3) at the Glenwood...mildly disappointing as usual, though I had a lovely Martenelli's sparkling soda. This was the only time I left my apartment all day, so I decided not to bore you with the polo and jeans I wore.

But today! Oh yes, today, I have a simply stunning outfit that will go above and beyond even your wildest expectations of what I, mini-mini-mingram would ever wear.

Your eyes are not deceiving you. I am, in fact, wearing a concert T (purchased at a real live concert) and a pair of green converse. Tres chic. I know.

T-Shirt: The Shins
Cardigan: Old Navy
Jeans: Lane Bryant
Sneakers: Converse

This is going to be seen by possibly dozens of people. I'm going to work and out for drinks with Megan after work. Because I can. I'm 21.

I'm quite in love with my hair cut right now. Seriously. I love having bangs when they sit right and don't try to stab people in the eye (because they're sticking straight out).

My apartment is so clean I would invite people over.

Still sick. ugh. I promise I will have my menswear feature soon...I accidentally deleted the images from my camera. I also intend to have a "skanks in bars" feature as well. Because, well, there are a lot of skanks in bars.

For today: grocery shopping and lunch with Sigmas at McMinemans.

T-Shirt: Old Navy
Jeans: Bitten Sarah Jessica Parker for Steve and Barry's

Sorry I don't have any witty anecdotes tonight. Too sick. I'm off my game.

Hello loyal readers. I'm sorry my hiatus went a day longer than I said it would, I just didn't have anything special to show you yesterday. And I had a pretty terrible hangover. Please forgive me. However, today I have a double feature: today's outfit+what I believe will be a top trend this summer.

First, today. I actually only got dressed like an hour ago. Prior to that, I'd been cleaning and napping...I really don't feel very well. I would have gone grocery shopping today, but it was raining and that's not conducive to bike riding. Anywho, Mike and I are going to go see Juno here in a bit, so I decided I should really put something other than a cami and sweat pants on.

This may not be the most flattering dress I've ever owned, but it's comfy and easy to wear! And I love the shirt, it's a waffle knit with cowboy hats and boots all over.

Shirt: Levi's
Dress: Mossimo Black at Target
Tights: Simply Vera Vera Wang at Kohl's
Belt and Shoes: Old Navy

Makeup is simple today:

Lips: MAC Pro Longwear in Perennial Rose

NOW! #1 trend for Summer! Stenciled T-shirts with dinosaurs and rap lyrics!

"Yes. I crank it everyday."

"Boots with the furrrrr"

"Aint nobody dope as me"

Fuckin hot, right? Right. I thought so. Look for them on the Marc Jacobs summer runway. You saw it here first!

Also, bonus feature: Shoes Kaitlin gave me for my birthday.

My friends know me ridiculously well.

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

Hello lovelies! I'm writing this at 5:50 in the morning after 10 straight hours with my ad group working on this motherfucking presentation for Wednesday. The rest of the week doesn't look like it will be much better, so I'm declaring a hiatus until Friday night. I'll see you then and it will be a magical reunion. I'll be 21 then, as well. Be ready for that.

Hey lovebirds, I'm back in Eugene! Today was...well, a little high stress toward the end. However, the beginning was quite nice. I went to Target with my Grandma (spoils from that to come), breakfast with Marcel (you're also welcome to come up with your own alias) and crazy amounts of errands running with my parents. But hey, I got fro-yo out of it. OH, and I broke into Eliza's parent's house. I really shouldn't be so creepy. Anyway, I wore this:

Look familiar? Yeah, I'm running out of inspiration with the rest of my wardrobe. Uh-oh.

Everything but the shoes: Old Navy
Shoes: Victoria's Secret

If I look really greasy and disgusting, it's because I'm really greasy and disgusting.

Lips: MAC Lacquer in Akrylicka (which seems to have been discontinued. Sad story.)

You can't have enough LBDs.

This looks kind of frumpy on the hanger, but it's actually ridiculously cute.

Super, super comfy. I think I may go back and by 17,000,000 more pairs. Also, I've needed to get a pair of leggings for quite a while. In fact, I almost bought a pair yesterday while I was out with Eliza.

Greetings from the rose city! Yes, I trekked all the way up the I-5 corridor to bring you this special edition of Mini's exercise in vanity.

...Actually, I just came up to see my best friend from way back when who was in town from Chicago. And see my family.

BUT here we go with today's story:

1. Woke up at 8:45 when my train was supposed to leave at 9. Didn't have time to brush my teeth or my hair! (Ick!). Experienced the worst train ride of my life. Did my makeup while waiting for ...Eliza... outside Union Station. God, I really need to come up with better aliases. I'm also fairly certain that I have a sign floating over my head that says "I'm really approachable and enjoy talking to people. Especially strangers."

2. Had lunch (sushi) and window shopped on 23rd (hip shopping district in Portland). I felt rather out of place, but discovered that I lovelovelove the store Three Monkeys. We also went to my neighborhood camera store (Blue Moon) where the guy working the counter asked Eliza to let him take her portrait and she obliged. He didn't like me because I asked if they had any dSLRs I could play with. Apparently Blue Moon is anti-digital.

3. Dinner with my family. We tried to go to Joe's Crabshack in Vancouver, but ended up leaving (but not before I sent "Opal" hella creepy text messages, being in her home town and all.) and went to Sweet Tomatoes. I remembered why I hate buffets: I overeat like mad.

So what did I wear for such an eventful day?

Suffice to say, I don't feel very attractive.

That's in my brother's bedroom, which used to be my bedroom. Yes, that is an electric guitar. The boy taught himself how to play and now he's in a (fairly reasonable) band. And yes, that is also a Star Wars poster behind me. He's also a huge nerd.

Top: Forever 21
Cami: Torrid
Jeans: Lane Bryant
Shoes: Victoria's Secret

I took these outside Union Station. I'm pretty awesome. But the lighting was nice.

And just for fun, a fantastic picture of me and my grandma. No, I'm not drunk. My family doesn't drink.
