It's like high school all over again

I forgot to take pictures today and now I'm exhausted and just want to go to bed. So instead of seeing my thrilling outfit, you get a polyvore layout.

I saw that jacket and took it as a personal challenge to make an outfit using it that resembled something stylish. I think I may have succeeded? When looking at it, think of the layering: on top, first there's the tank, then the button-down (unbuttoned), topped by the jacket. The leggings, of course, go under the skirt.

Maybe?

5/27/08

Oh my goodness. I ended up wearing that sweatshirt/miniskirt/leggings ensemble to the dog park yesterday. I LOVED it.

Shirts: Dear by Amanda Bynes for Steve and Barry's
Pants: Bitten Sarah Jessica Parker for Steve and Barry's
Shoes: Mossimo at Target
Necklace: Target of some kind

I wore this today loving the idea of a moderately structured top with a slouchy, chunky cardigan. Then I got about halfway to school and realized that it was WAY too warm to be doing this, but it was too late to go back on it!

Cardigan: Old Navy
Jumper: Mossimo at Target
Leggings: Xhilaration at Target
Shoes: Merona at Target
Necklace: Still Target

Had to put on pin attire for Spring Greek awards, which was cool. I was significantly less warm than previously, which was great!

Pants: Bitten Sarah Jessica Parker for Steve and Barry's
Shoes: Mossimo at Target
Necklace: Target!

When I got home from Spring Greek awards, I changed back into the outfit I'd been wearing earlier, but swapped out cardigans. This was much better for the weather. I headed out for trivia night at Max's (we did terribly), then to Megan's for more porch drinking, then to the porn store and now finally home. I don't know about this school thing for tomorrow.

New goal in life: Dress well enough that I wouldn't beembarrassed to be photographed and put on a street style blog. E'ry day. And wear heels more often. That's what led me to this exploration in personal style:

Pink Shirt: Levi's
Cardigan and Belt: Old Navy
Jeans: Bitten Sarah Jessica Parker for Steve and Barry's
Shoes: Victoria's Secret

I've never tried wearing long sleeves under short sleeves in any semblance of a sophisticated way. When I was in high school, I used to wear them under t-shirts...classy. But I love this look. I also really love this cardigan--it's quite a few sizes too big for me and by virtue of that is fun to play with.

Shirt: Dear by Amanda Bynes for Steve and Barry's
Skirt: Torrid
Tights: Simply Vera Vera Wang at Kohl's
Shoes: Victoria's Secret

Dress: Mossimo Black at Target
Tights: Simply Vera Vera Wang at Kohl's
Shoes: Victoria's Secret

I really love this dress.

Tank: Mossimo at Target
Belt and Skirt: Old Navy
Leggings: Xhilaration at Target
Shoes: Bitten Sarah Jessica Parker for Steve and Barry's

It's possible that the blue and purple are too much together, that the skirt is far too short for me to wear and that the belt is a little ridic...or it's possible that this works in every way possible.

Finally, the piece de resistance:

Sweat Shirt: Vintage (my mom's basement)
Skirt: Old Navy
Leggings: Xhilaration at Target
Shoes: Bitten Sarah Jessica Parker for Steve and Barry's

The sweatshirt is for mother/daughter weekend at Camp Westwind in 93. I really went with my mom. I love the 90s...

Also, check out this website: Hel Looks. It's my new lover.

Memorial Day Weekend

I've been camping and therefore have no outfits to show you. Enjoy this instead.

Yummy, summery florals.

Be back tomorrow!

Yesterday

I forgot to post this yesterday. And I don't have today's outfit on account of I've been too cool to take pictures.

T-Shirt: Old Navy
Dress: Mossimo Black at Target
Leggings: Xhilaration at Target
Shoes: Bitten Sarah Jessica Parker for Steve and Barry's

I actually don't think this dress is very flattering, but I do love to pretend to be a model.

And Obama won Oregon!!

Make up?

I do apologize for my lack of posting recently. I'm in a whirlwind of sorority and it doesn't seem to want to stop! So I give you this:

White dresses with bows and feminine cuts. Lovely, lovely lovely. I especially wish I owned the dress on the far left. I would wear it to...an occasion...I don't know. But it's hawt.

It is too hot to handle today!

Cami: Old Navy
Dress: Bitten Sarah Jessica Parker for Steve and Barry's
Sandals: Gap

Today's activities included far more alcohol than I had anticipated. But it feels good to be back with the core four again. And big sis reveal was great.

I didn't go to school today, so my day consisted mostly of puttering around my apartment in sweats. However, then I went to Delta Upsilon's Family Feud philanthropy (we came in second!) and so I put on this:

T-Shirt: Something Greek
Cami: Torrid
Skirt: Old Navy
Leggings: Xhilaration at Target
Shoes: Gap

I should go to bed, it's way past my bed time, but I actually really just want a cup of coffee right now...

I feel like something ugly that fell out of a building and spattered all over the ground, then was swept up with the dirt and put in a dumpster.

I didn't really sleep last night thanks to this fantastic back pain I'm having. Which led me to not want to go to school or get dressed this morning, but I did and this is what I came up with.

Shirt: Old Navy
Jeans: Lane Bryant
Shoes: Charlotte Russe

Note the stain on the shirt, from lunch, and the weird proportions. I don't know, I'm just not in the best of moods.

I was quite looking forward to taking Bruno to the dog park again today. Oh well, there's always tomorrow when (hopefully) my back won't be in so much pain.

Elle came in the mail today. Le sigh. Can't complain about that anymore.

Cardigan, Dress: Old Navy
Leggings: Xhileration at Target
Shoes: Charlotte Russe

I have been feeling like a fat-fat-fatty recently, which is my explaination (excuse) for wearing so many baggy and muu-muu-esque clothing in the past few weeks. I'm actually insanely glad I discovered that I can, in fact, wear dresses because in a dress, you don't have to worry about muffin top.

I look like a BUM today! Turns out a really oversized sweatshirt+mid-rinse, straight legged jeans does NOT equal a cute outfit. My only respite from that was that I was wearing a cute shirt underneath. Still.

Sweatshirt: Old Navy
T-Shirt: Gap
Jeans: Bitten Sarah Jessica Parker for Steve and Barry's
Shoes: Old Navy

Those motherfuckers over at Elle already have their June edition on newsstands. It's not in my mailbox yet, though! Wtf, Elle?!?! I know it'll be here within the next few days, but I'd like to feel like an insider and have seen the magazine before it comes out. Oh well. It just reminds me that I should be reading them, rather than just stacking them under a table in my living room.

I have mad Mama Mia songs stuck in my head. Actually, that's not true, I just have Mama Mia stuck in my head, but it feels like that was the whole show!

I started doing this thing today---cleaning. Yup. Wowza.

Shirts: Old Navy
Jeans: Lane Bryant
Shoes: Victoria's Secret

Manola's yellow curry is way spicier than Ta Ra Rin's! Wasn't expecting that...

5/1/08

Alright, after quite the extended blog-cation, I am back. With any luck, I'm back with a vengeance. I'm giving myself 2 more months before my next closet appraisal, which I realized yesterday that I failed to add this to my "get rid of" list, but it's worth looking at:

It's an Old Navy size large. I actually really love it, but it's too small for me. So away it must go.

Today was warm, but not super warm, so I wore:

Cardigan: Old Navy
Tank: Dear by Amanda Bynes for Steve and Barry's
Cami: Torrid
Jeans: Bitten Sarah Jessica Parker for Steve and Barry's
Shoes: Victoria's Secret

I don't know what it is, but I always look really angry in pictures for this. I tried to like...have a smile and shit today but I'm either able to look happy or show the clothes, so I went with the clothes shot. I just want to be clear that while I may look like a mean unhappy person in this blog, I'm not unhappy. I'm a generally happy person.

The plumber told me I have a little girl plunger today. That hurts the ol' self esteem.
